Once upon a time, there was an organization with a highly visible, very moving annual one-day event that required a huge effort of coordination. Event Day was always great, but when it was over, it was over. They asked: how can we extend the event, reach more people, raise more awareness, move from the local to the national and even international?
Check-out the American Cancer Society’s Light a Candle project. And if your work supports a cause (nonprofit or for profit), ask yourself:
- Do our supporters’ hearts soar when they tell our story?
- Can we trade a few thousand words for a few great pictures that show our progress?
- When we talk to the world, are we inspiring hope?
